What If You Are Hidden?

What if the very thing you think makes you unworthy is the reason God has hidden you?

There’s a story of a young woman whose friend had a dream about her. In the dream, God compared her to a pair of glasses. To the natural eye, the glasses looked ordinary, dark, outdated, nothing special. Easy to overlook. Easy to pass by.

But when those glasses were placed in the sunlight, their beauty was undeniable. The colors. The radiance. The depth. A glass that Suddenly, everyone would want one of them.

What if you are like that glass?

What if your whole life you’ve been treated as disposable, used, overlooked, set aside once people got what they wanted from you? What if you’ve stood on the shelf while others were chosen, admired, celebrated, while you were silently judged as “not enough”?

People may have called you boring. Too flawed. Not worth the cost. Too damaged to choose.

But what if the problem was never you, only the lighting their life brought to yours?

So again, I ask you the question: what if you are truly hidden?

What if all the pain you feel now, the repeated rejection, the abandonment, the misunderstandings, the neglect, the abuse, what if all of it has been working together for your good unknowingly to you?

What if God has been hiding you on purpose, protecting you from people who were never meant to have access to you?

Because sometimes people don’t love who you are. They love your glory. They love your potential. They love what being close to you can give them. They love the doors you might open, the rooms you might get them into, the lifestyle they think they can attach themselves to.

“If I connect with this person, I’ll get opportunities.”

“If I stay close to them, I won’t have to struggle.”

“If I’m seen with them, my life will change.”

And what if God says, not with you?

What if God is refusing to let you be yoked to people for the wrong reasons? People who would drain you, use you, and add no real value. People who operate like vampires, taking everything they can while leaving you empty. Sometimes it’s not even the person, it’s the spirit working through them. And God, in His mercy, is shielding you from that.

So while it feels like delay…

While it feels like isolation…

While it feels like you’re being overlooked…

God may actually be preserving you.

What if He’s keeping you hidden while He prepares you for where He’s taking you?

What if where you’re going, certain people are not allowed to come, not in this season, not in that capacity? What if their access would contaminate what God is building in you?

And let me say this boldly: what if God has shown you a future you can’t even imagine yet? What if your calling is bigger than your current environment, bigger than your family dynamics, bigger than your circle of friends? God knows that if He allowed certain people to stay close now, they would sabotage what’s coming later.

So He hides you.

Just like that glass, unimpressive in the shade, but breathtaking in the sun.

Your life may feel insignificant to you. Others may have treated you like you were nothing. But once your life is placed in the hands of Jesus, everything changes. He gives beauty for ashes. He restores the years that were wasted. He reveals what was always there.

If you’ve lived feeling rejected, abandoned, misunderstood, this is for you.

If you’ve been criticized, talked about, dismissed, and made to feel like the least, this is for you.

I had to pause while writing this, because it comes from the heart. Some lives suffer quietly. Some people carry losses no one ever sees. And to the world, what they see now doesn’t look valuable.

But God doesn’t see you only in the dark.

He sees you in the sunlight.

He sees you beyond the shelf.

He sees what you become when His light hits your life.

You were never ordinary.

You were never forgotten.

You were hidden—on purpose.

So please TRUST THE LORD with all your heart. Because perhaps you are hidden and If you are hidden, trust this: God hides what He values.

What feels like delay is often divine protection. What feels like loss is often God removing what cannot go with you.

“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” — Colossians 3:3

“When the Lord restores the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.” — Psalm 126:1

Stay hidden until He reveals you.

The same God who concealed you is the God who will unveil you but only in His time, in His light, and in His glory.
