The Love That Never Leaves

Lord Jesus, You are the only One who truly loves me, and the only One who truly knows me.

That still amazes me.

You know everything about me, every thought, every fear, every flaw, every strength. You even know parts of me I have not yet discovered. You know my ways and the intentions of my heart.

When I look at myself, my flaws often feel louder than the good. Yet You love all of me. Your Word says we love because You first loved us, and that there is no greater love than one who lays down His life for His friends. Today, I whisper a quiet thank-You. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for giving me security in the knowledge of Your love.

I know I may never fully grasp how deep Your love truly is while I’m in this life. But I know this much—you love me enough to make me want to live, to complete my assignment here, and one day come home to You, my truest love.

I am not saying others do not love me. No, I have some wonderful people who God has placed in my life and I know they do. But over time, I’ve learned something about human love. We love with limits. We love with conditions. We love based on perception, performance, benefit, or expectation. Sometimes our motives are good, sometimes they are not when it comes to loving each other that’s because none of us have fully mastered sacrificial love.

That kind of LOVE that comes only from God.

People may love you for what you do, what you offer, or how you appear. But God loves you for who you are. His love does not shift with seasons, failures, or misunderstandings. There is no love like the love of God.

That is why my podcast brand is called It’s the Love of God for Me. Because truly, His love is what carried me. To be honest..I don’t know where I would be today if I had not discovered a love I could run to, hide in, and rest in on my worst days.

Your love, Lord, is a refuge for my soul. It makes me feel safe. It strengthens me. It makes me whole. Your love fills my heart, my life, and my spirit. And it is knowing that You love me that keeps me going when others walk away.

To you reading this: people may leave. They may misunderstand you. They may give up on you or turn their backs. They may label you, judge you, or misinterpret your heart. But none of that changes this truth, you always have a place in the Father’s heart. ALWAYS!

God loves you more than you realize or will ever fully know. He sees the best in you when others only see your worst. He sees you fully, flaws and all, and He loves you anyway. He knew the mistakes you would make. He knew the sins you would commit. He knew the places you would fall. And He chose the cross for you anyway.

God is not surprised by your story/experiences. And he has sent me to tell you this - He is not finished with you yet! So, don’t give up on love until you you have discovered the Love of The Lord Jesus Christ.
