Legal Rights the Enemy Uses to Attack

I made a few posts months ago about legal rights and how the enemy looks for access points in our lives and uses them to afflict, delay, and frustrate God’s work. As we continue this journey, I will keep exposing these doors, not to instill fear, but to bring understanding and freedom.
I was reminded of a testimony about a young woman who experienced repeated spiritual attacks in her sleep. Each time she awoke, she prayed, rebuked the enemy, and pleaded the blood of Jesus. Yet when she fell asleep again, the same attack returned. Desperate for answers, she asked the Lord, “What is giving the enemy access to afflict me like this?”
The Lord answered her through a dream.
In the dream, someone told her that a woman she once knew who had since passed away had spoken words before her death: If this woman ever wore anything that belonged to me, I would torment her.
Here is the backstory. These two women had both been involved with the same man. One became ill and later died. Years later, the other woman moved into the same house with that man. Many of the deceased woman’s belongings were still there some gently used, some in good condition, some brand new. Without knowing the history behind them, she kept a few items for herself.
That was the legal access the Lord revealed.
It was not the deceased woman tormenting her. It was the enemy who had heard the spoken words and preserved them using those words as a point of access at the right time.
What struck me most about this testimony is how calculated the enemy can be. He observes our lives our words, our relationships, our choices. Yet he does not always use what he gathers immediately. Often, he waits. He reserves those things for seasons when we are drawing closer to God.
When we give our lives to Christ.
When our minds are being renewed.
When our desires shift from the world to Jesus.
When God begins removing people who were never meant to stay and replacing them with those who will usher us into purpose.
It is often in those very seasons, right before a breakthrough, right before a blessing, that the enemy shows up waving old “legal documents,” trying to stop what God is doing.
This is why I want someone to hear this clearly:
Delays, repeated battles, unexplained afflictions, there
is often a root cause.
And many times, we are unaware of it.
In this case, the root was spoken words. Words spoken in secret. Words spoken years earlier. Words the woman herself never heard. But the enemy heard them and used them.
Yet thank God we serve a living God.
He is faithful.
He is merciful.
He sees what we cannot see.
He hears what we never heard.
No matter how long ago the evil was spoken.
No matter how hidden the place it was spoken from.
God was there.
The God of Daniel..your God and my God, He delivers.
What I love most about this testimony is this: without revelation, she would never have known the cause. God revealed it because He wanted to heal her, not just comfort her. And interestingly, the Lord also showed her that the words had been spoken to the same man who was encouraging her to use those items. Nothing escapes God’s awareness.
Let this be wisdom to us:
Be careful with what you take, what you wear, and what you carry especially items tied to unknown histories. Objects can become points of agreement when words, actions, or spirits were attached to them.
There is so much more to say about legal rights and open doors but I will leave it here for now.
Jesus Christ is faithful.
Trust Him.
Ask Him questions.
Wait patiently on Him.
He knows the root of your pain, and He alone knows how to uproot it completely.
