Hosea 4:6. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge.”
The prophet Hosea spoke by the mouth of God saying, lack of knowledge can cause one to perish. If you are natural minded then automatically you will think that this means eartly knowledge for example qualifications, schools etc… while these things are good to acquire, this is not what the prophet was referring to when he mentioned “not knowing can cause God’s people to be destroyed” I believe there are many today that still have not received the spiritual understanding behind this statement and today I would like to share with you the revelation behind what this scripture truly means and why is it important to you.
This statement was inspired by God and God is a spirit. Therefore, God is saying because my people don’t know me (my spirit) they are not able to follow the things of the spirit. In other words they cannot walk, discern or see in the spirit hence, they perished. Before you say “but I know God” judge yourself of the following scripture below.
Ephesians 1:17-21
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
I came to tell somebody today, it’s very good to have the degrees and other academical qualifications but if we have no knowledge in God then all those in the end is useless. Majority of us have an idea of who God is because we hear/read about him but do we know him? Do we have that spiritual knowledge of the things of him. When we have knowledge in God then that’s the time we will not be ignorant to the devil devices according to the book of 2 Corinthians 2:11
To know him is to love him, to love him is to serve him and to serve him is to have eternal life. If we have little or no knowledge in his essence then Satan, has that advantage over us and we will never be able to “stand against the wiles of the devil” Ephesians 6:11.
If you don’t know what hour the thief cometh how can you prepare? It’s the same if you don’t know the heart of God then how can you stand against the devil your adversary?
Some of us are settled with the norm. Experiencing the residue of God and not the abundance of God essence. Take a look around you! Have you really experienced the God of creation?
My people, our God is calling both saved and unsaved in this season to dig deeper into his essence as God the eternal Father. Jesus and his blood redeemed us 2000 years ago and now we are without excuse because he (Jesus) tore the vail so that we have access freely to enter into the Holies of Holies where we can bask spiritually into the never ending magnitude of God.
Seek to understand like Daniel. The Bible said when daniel saw the ruin of his people he didn’t consult friends, family or associates to explain their opinion on what they think the outcome would be but instead. Daniel set his heart on God to understand. As a result God dispatched an holy angel to reveal the mystery behind what was happening to his people and the end thereof. “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words”. Daniel 10:12
How can I get that knowledge in God?
Well my simple answer is this: ask him, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5
What I’m I saying? God is looking for hearts that want to understand. Hearts that is willing to go above the norm, to step outside of traditions, religiosity, our own imaginations and understandings to tap into that supernatural power that unlock doors that can stirrup that gift that he placed in you before the foundation of the world to push you into your divine calling and purpose. Zion is calling you to a HIGHER PLACE of praise, will you answer the call?
