Today God wants to reveal to you 5 spiritual keys that will improve your spiritual journey with him. Spiritual keys are keys that unlock the spiritual realm or the supernatural.

Jesus asked Peter “who do you say I am?” Peter replied “Thou art the Christ the son of Of the living God”. The Lord knew that moment that Peter was now spiritually mature enough to be entrusted with the keys to understand the supernatural and it's divine order. Jesus said

Peter, “I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

What is a key?

A key is a small piece of shaped metal with incisions cut to fit the wards of a particular lock, which is inserted into a lock and turned to open or close it.

This means that a key is use to unlock or shut access to something.

In the natural there are different kinds of keys. Car keys, house keys, cupboard keys etc..even though  locks cannot be opened without a key. Keys that are used to open a house door cannot open the car door and A key that’s used to close a cupboard cannot open a padlock.

Therefore we have different keys for different locks. This is first invented in the spiritual realm and then to the physical realm. Jesus told Peter I am giving you the keys to lock and open whatever you choose here on earth and I will back this up in the spiritual realm! I could go on and on about the importance of these keys but not until you believe that without these keys you will continue to function below the capacity of what God has called you to be before you will see any transformations.

Key 1- The key Repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ.

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38 Without this key you cannot get to the other dimensions.

Key 2 - The key of humility.

As it is written “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10

You see God will only reveal his secret to you when you are humble according to Matthew 11:25 “thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.” This key is so important that you cannot get access to the dimensions in God without it.

Key 3- The Fear of the LORD

Fearing God is a very powerful key. Often times we only focus on the fact that God is loving, merciful and all the sweet things about God and totally sugarcoating the full nature of God the Father. “And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:” Nehemiah 1:5 the prophet Nehemiah and many others wrote about God being great but also dreadful. When they approach his throne in prayer they always recognize his full essence.

There are more than 25 bible verses warning humanity to Fear the LORD yet, I have heard sermons trying to find in-depth explanations as to the “type of fear” the Bible is taking about. I have heard things like, God don’t want us to be terrified of him he wants us to reverence him. I beg to differ because reverencing the LORD is completely different from Fearing him.

The word reverence means “deep respect for someone or something.” Now, let’s look at what the word fear means “ be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or harmful.” Completely two different word with two different meaning. Many will justify this statement with the scripture that says “God did not give you the spirit of fear.” Of course he did give us a spirit of fear for demons or what men like some of us currently do right now but as it is written “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28

The point I am getting across to you is that the devils believe that there is one God and they tremble what saith you and I who are DUST? This is why this generation is considered the generation of vipers as Jesus Christ explained, why because “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:18

If you learn to fear the Lord with understanding that he holds your entire beginning and ending in his hand and yes he loves you more than you could ever imagine but will recompense everyone according to their works then you do well and will advance to higher heights in God.

Key 4- Give especially to the poor and widow

Jesus entire life was about attending to the needs of others. I wondered if at any point he thought to himself that he needed to attend to his own need which I am sure he had as well. Nevertheless, the man was selfless and God through countless scriptures tells us that we ought to look out for those who are poor and needy. When you give to the poor God owes you and this is law! “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17 this does not mean give the left overs or the the things you don’t really need. It mean sacrificing your needs to make sure someone else needs are met. God always love and reward a cheerful giver and what better reward than to pull you deeper into his glory.

Key 5- The Key of Love

In a nutshell and simply God is love and if anyone wants to go to any dimension in God we must first learn to love the Lord and love each other. If we have everything else that is good in the eyes of God but have not charity (love) we have nothing more in the book if 1 Corinthians 13.
